No Volatile Organic Compounds

All of the products at Pure Home PaintsTM contain no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). VOCs are typically used to help paint dry quickly. The evaporation process, referred to as gassing, emits toxic substances that can linger for months or even years after the paint or finish is dry. The potential side effects of the gassing include cancer, liver disease, kidney disease, asthma attacks, headaches, liver damage, central nervous system damage, and irritation of the nose and throat. Some of these conditions can become chronic. That is why we steer clear of them.

No Unregulated Toxic Ingredients

Many ingredients commonly included in paint are not regulated products made in the U.S. They are imported and toxic. Pure Home Paints TM does not include the following toxic ingredients: formaldehyde, ammonia, acetone, odor masking agents, arsenic, lead, heavy metals, cadmium, methyl acetate, phallates, and chemical residuals.

Strong Adhesion

Typically, paint adheres to a surface via “tooth,” a sort of lock and key mechanism that allows coating to attach to texture. Unfortunately, smooth and glossy surfaces (like glass) do not have teeth. Without sandblasting or etching, minimal physical adhesion actually occurs.
